Mid Glam Leagues - Updates

The final game in Mid Glam Division 3 was played last night against Ynyscynon,

Aberdare running out winners 40 - 34 and gaining 10 points.

This leaves Aberdare at the top of the table, but Maerdy have 2 games to play and mathematically possible for them to overtake us.

There are 2 games left for Aberdare in the Mid Glam Saturday league, against Penrhys next Thursday and Ynyscynon on Sat Sept 18th, both at home..

The Ynyscynon game is a reinstated game after they originally conceded the game on 21st August,

So we now have 84 points from 10 games and with several teams below us with many games in hand it could be a close finish for the League Title this year.

Cynon Valley League 2021

Aberdare played the final game of 2021 in the Cynon Valley League last night with a win over Maerdy 43 - 38 and gaining 10 points.

This places Aberdare at the top of the league.

With other results unknown at this stage hopefully Aberdare can run out as league winners this year.

Bowls Final 2021

The 2021 bowls final took place yesterday the 28th Aug 2021, the weather was glorious and a great day for bowls.

The singles final was between Don Thomas and Liam Glover with Don Thomas taking the trophy.

The doubles final was between Alwyn Bailey & Gary Cooper versus Andrew Davies & Mal Owen

It was a close game throughout but Alwyn and Gary were the eventual winners.

Congratulations to all the finalists and also the support from other members to make it a memorable day
